1. What This Reference Is
Vista Residents Directory is a privately operated reference for public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections concerning Vista, California. It does not host government files and is not affiliated with an office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Permitted and Prohibited Use
Use the pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use the reference or information reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person

3. No Consumer Reports
The reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. Nothing on these pages or returned by a linked search tool is a consumer report. It must not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Outside Links and Tools
County and state portals, court services, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools have their own terms, pricing, availability, and privacy practices. We do not control or guarantee those outside services.
5. No Warranties
The reference is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty promises that a page, fact, link, office detail, coverage date, or outside portal is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked source, including an action taken from a record found through them.

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.
8. Original Material
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Brief attributed quotations and ordinary links are welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted.
9. Revisions
Terms may be changed by posting a revised version. Continued use after the revision is posted means the revised terms are accepted.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be blocked or limited when a user violates these terms, abuses the service, or threatens its operation or security. Restriction may occur without advance notice.
11. California Law
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, governs public-record access questions for the California agencies described in the reference. A custodian's rules and a specific statute still control the record itself.
12. Severability
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
13. Questions
Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page.
